J01. Launch

I’ve never kept a journal. Well, a written one anyway. The only consistent documentation of my life and thoughts has been through sketch books – and even they have been irregular. 

So now, with the launch of our new brand and digital presence, I’ve adopted the self-imposed task of writing some journal entries to document our evolution and process. A warning before things get real though – this may not be a destination perfect grammar or crafted copy. It’s just going to be a forum for relaxed and informal chat. And, why TXTR? It was time for a change - a new energy. We embraced the disruption of 2020 and utilized the time to transform the way our brand is positioned in the market. First, we had to actually define what that market was - or more importantly, what we wanted our market to be. 

We have been very fortunate that we have organically found ourselves carving out a niche in the brand and environment space. This is a fusion of our primary passions: brand design and, environmental place-making. So it makes sense to define what we do as Place Design - and, we love it. We’ve been transforming places with creative artwork since day one, and were not finished yet. Markets have an ever increasing appetite for the next layer of a brand experience. They want to be surprised and seduced by venues that consider their senses. This is where we are at our best.
